How does a person become a Catholic?
A person is welcomed into the Catholic Church through a process called the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults, OCIA, which consists of classes on Catholic teaching and practice, as well as rituals of reception into the Church, culminating in the reception of the Sacraments of Initiation (baptism, confirmation, and the Holy Eucharist). What if I'm already Catholic but haven't received all of the Sacraments of Initiation?
You'll join in the classroom portion of OCIA to prepare for receiving the sacraments of initiation as an adult.
Can I begin OCIA if I'm not 100% sure I'd like to be a Catholic?
Absolutely. Classes are structured to help a person seek the truth, starting classes requires no comitment besides willingness to learn!
